Ryan Henry ‘Deacon’ is a rapper and poet from London. As well as being the official poet laureate for youth music organisation Biggafish, in 2012 Ryan was a runner up in the Wandsworth Young Performer showcase competition organised by Wandsworth Council and the winner of the Broken Silence talent competition 2011. He has been involved in many of the Hip hop Shakespeare Company’s projects since 2011, featuring in THSC live performances including the Summer Sundae Festival 2012, Camden Crawl Festival 2011 and Greenbelt Festival 2013. Deacon was also involved in the Hip Hop Shakespeare Company’s production of A Midsummer Nights Dream at the Barbican Centre in March 2012 as part of their Urban Weekend and also took part in our recent Richard II LIVE! Production, which toured across 6 cities in England.
